There was also a mob called "Teamster's Haulage" that ran Sydney- Melbourne.
Chrome sumps & rocker covers on their Detroit Engines, they sounded sweet at full rpm.
ianelli's, that is it, I have an old photo somewhere of their truck at a truck show at Calder, Lee & Tania Kernaghan's father had the 'Waltzing Matilda' there.

That said the guy was, is, and always will be a shonk.

He ripped off his father, he ripped off his best friend who loaned him the cash to buy his 1st truck 15 years ago and is still waiting for it back. This is not hearsay. I worked with both of those people.

He sold most of his collectible trucks to Dave Larsen who is storing them until the storm passes. When they will no doubt be sold back. And I'm sure there would have been a cash component. There is the Blue Mack, a tribute to his dad Brian 'The Skull' Kelly that's still missing.

All the guys that worked for him waited many months to get paid. Klos bros got to the point where they wouldn't start work without pre payment.

And PJ's Paint in Bris had a C509 in for paint as HHA fell over. They did a deal of sort with Kelly and bought the cab, The chassis got towed and sent to Auction. It of course went cheap. Pj's bought it because well they had one to fit it. All perfectly legal. And a way to 'Look after' a supplier. That kind of shonkery doesnt happen by accident. These guys are talented.
didn't he personally buy one of his trucks back at auction? some sort of sentimental attachment to a particular truck. obviously found some money somewhere to buy it back.

No he was just being a dick. Surprise!

He bought it on behalf of NT Heavy haul (something like that). They already had one of his trucks they bought the Grey/black C509. He was literally there doing it to stir up the receivers/creditors. There was folks about to kill him. He has no shame.
