Maybe this is part of why we wont get Fusion, because our market has been deemed more suitable for a 4 door hatch?

Doubtful. Sedans never sold because they were never pushed, and in comparison the boot space in the hatch / wagon smashes the Mondeo sedan.

However I can't see too many Falcon sedan buyers buying a Mondeo.... A tricked up Fusion sedan on the other hand could potentially pick up some of the Falcons void.

And yes i get that they are the same car... Im talking purely from a naming / marketing perspective.

I'm guessing Ford Marketing see no future demand for a C/D platform Sedan in Australia hence why they killed off Falcon and only offer a Hatch instead of a true Sedan in Mondeo?

To be honest the Hatch is basically a Sedan anyway.
