Brings us back to what is Tickford in this country? What are they trying to acheive.

Had the opportunity of attending a mustang show in sydney a couple weeks ago. Looking around all the different supercharged mustangs on display, the ford racing 2.3L kit looked as aftermarket as you can get. In comparison, the Harrop kit looked closer to OEM.

Having a chance to drive a harrop superchage mustang, on standard tyre width, one thing is for sure the owners would need to upgrade there tyres before thinking of installing a supercharger kit. Was wheel spinning in third gear. No grip whats so ever. Dangerous in an inexperienced driver.

I can't speak about the supercharger kit as it sounds to fall outside of the considerations used in the 270 and 360 kits.

Zero development is incorrect. It's been under test at the Aust proving ground.

No one has said anything about being at OEM levels. In fact Ford Aust have essentailly proven using their own equipment as bolt ons won't pass for sale in this country under their name.

The question is if the standard is even relevant anymore.
History is a statement, the future is a question.

My comments regarding Zero development was for the hardware bolt on supercharger kit only. For example, what the difference between Tickfords and herrods supercharge kits? Both appear to be using the same supercharge head unit.

I'm with Norm on this overall Mustang offering upgrades.
IF I was buying a new Pony, I want it to be as its comes from the Factory with power upgrades or rear window blinds
Tickford/PRA and any others are Aftermarket.
No matter how good they are these are NOT factory fitted add ons.
If I were to buy a 2nd hand one thats another storey - I would consider Harrop for eg.
Good luck to those other companies offering packages - great for those inclined and importantly keeps small business ticking over in this country.

The Harrop kit, out of all the kits available would be the one most likely to pass OEM NVH.

It actually looks the most OEM too.

it's done the same way as Miami with the blower upside down in the valley with the inlet manifold around it, cooling and diffuser infrastructure on top.

This lowers center of gravity, reduces packaging and insulates the blower.

I wish Tickford had used their setup to be honest and not a generic setup used by a few others..

Totally agree. Harrop have done an exceptional job yet again. Following on from the miami. I recommended this kit for a good friend and he cant be happier. More than enough power for most.

Yep. It looks the best of the lot, and given they did Miami I've got a soft spot for that engineering pedigree.

Like I said, I wish Tickford had engaged their kit.
