    Then see what kind of deal straight out buy or with trade.
    Many more options there I'm sure compared to Adelaide and dealers needing to move likely old stock.
    Been looking all over Maurie. Folks are in bris, have brother in Bunbury WA, and have already enquired after a couple in nsw and vic

    Obviously yours hasn't but to joe average who doesn't read your forum posts that what it could look like.

    I'd pull them off, or at least not mention them and don't show them in pics and see if there's any more bites.
    Up here a 5-7k fg xr is a pretty used automobile. Yours has gotta be worth more than that.
    Good points. I left them on thinking someone might find it attractive but the reality is they make no difference to the value of the car and are probably limiting the audience, so I might take it all off. It's all pretty straight forward and will leave no trace except for a couple of small holes in front of left knee where brake controller is, but they are out of sight.

    I think advertising my car around 9500 is about where the market is at.

    Sadly though you're up against a lot of cars advertised between $6-$8k...

    Seems nuts for such a great car.

    I have priced it as per the SA market, so 9.5k may seem a little high compared to the east coast, but it is the cheapest 6sp auto in SA. There are a couple of others with similar km's around the same money.

    It's been an awesome car but nothing lasts forever.

    Apologies straight up if this advice offends. I sold cars for quite some time, was a sales manager for some of that time - so take this advice with a grain of salt.

    You need to take the car back to original as possible. As mentioned above, take the bar light and towing gear off.

    Leave things like the tow bar, mud spats etc on.

    Another thing is take some photographs of the car without the caravan in the background. Also empty all stuff from the car; car phone cords, books in the door pockets etc when you take the photos. You want your photos to give the impression that the car is brand new and not have that 'lived in' feel but have that "New To You" feel.

    Also straighten the steering wheel up and turn the car off. Dash lights lit up ring alarm bells (I know they should be lit up).

    In your description list the options to make it easier for the buyer to read, for example;

    * Full service history
    * New Monroe shock absorbers
    * Recently serviced transmission with new heat exchanger

    I'd be running the car at $9500 still and take it from there.

    If mods/admin feel the need to edit the following I completely understand, but you have advertised the car on the other forum, have a look at the thread I created there.

    Yes, the ad needs some work. It was hastily thrown together in about 10 min Sat morning and it shows.

    No offense taken.

    I can't believe how cheap these cars are getting. I guess its a sign of the times and the fact that most of us are still stuck in FG / FGX land
