I think that’s covered under the 18 performance pack.
We need to keep in mind though some of our opinions on things like black Sprint 8s.
Sprint 8 has distinguishing markings. Selecting black pretty much makes it very hard to tell it’s a sprint 8.
The colour was made available to achieve just that. I guess it’s the offensive safe option.
You would need to refer back to the numbers to see how many people actually wanted to fly like that.
Clearly there is no offensive out option with this package but in line with many other factory offerings of its type it’s a genuine like it or lump it.
I don’t know if that’s vinyl or paint, suspect the former so a heat gun is an option but I think the 10k offering fixes that situation completely.
Should they have done this? Is 78 something worthy of another special?
I think personally the cobra look also doubles as a strong Ford scheme. It’s certainly safer than the 77 despite the racing success being swapped around to favour the 77.
That’s a very different proposition to saying this isn’t something that interests me.
You can most definitely have an all white Tickford 400kw car. It just can’t be a cobra special for obvious reasons.
To make it even simpler. Should Tickford have done a second racing theme special back to back? Is the next one a 79 special?
It’s interesting to me its name.
The suggestionof creating their own identity. What is TVS 535R doing?
History is a statement, the future is a question.
The 10k option 3) on the 400kw pack misses out on the 535R's brakes and Aero package.
If you could option those onto the 10k kit you've basically got exactly this car from a performance and exterior sense but in any color you like and without color highlights.

Talk about late to the party..sorry
I love this. I could nitpick but don't want to. Its the closest thing I have seen to buying a GT350 and that's a good thing and I always loved the Cobra styling. It has a rich history with Ford performance models and motorsport both here and in the US where it originated from.
The package is also more obtainable in my eyes compared to the Moffat Mustang. Not so much because it is less expensive than one, but given that the donor car is still a Mustang GT, paying upto $150k on enhanced one is pushing the love for me too far. I just dont see any new generation Mustang GT worth that type of investment poersonally. Time will tell if I have got this wrong.
My only serious gripe is I think the TVS 535R is still too expensive. Get it under $100k please guys, especially for a N/A car and unopened engine. When you consider you can buy similar performance for an extra $10k (Calibration, Wheels, Suspension ) on top of a standard GT, you really are left wondering where your other $28k is going and if the brakes and cosmetics are worth it. Dont get me wrong, I love the carbon touches, limited built plagues etc. The standard 6 piston Brembos are still pretty good however and hardly worth removing. The problem I'm having is I dont yet place that high enough value on limited edition models produced by the after market industry.

So $70K for MY18 GT, $10K for Option 3) plus lets say another $10K for bigger brakes and front/rear spoiler.
That's $90k in your garage for a poor mans GT350.
The other issue people might encounter is how do you display that cost on an invoice for lease purposes?
That $20K of add-ons might quickly become $27K thanks to LCST because you ask the dealer to provide a single invoice for Lease and insurance purposes.
Even worse for the full TVS-535R, that $38K becomes $50K thanks to LCST....
This is a problem created by Ford.
Its also an opportunity for them too.

I wish they had an Alcantara trim option. I would much prefer that over leather.

With regard to the LCT costs.
I enquired about buying a Mustang with the 400kw and was told that Ford will not allow a "non standard" car to be sold retail.
So if I wanted the 400kw I would have to buy the car, get it delivered THEN take it off to Tickford to be upgraded.
I was also told this applied to any other upgrades and if so would mean that LCT would not be applicable.
If this is true that would not be such a bad thing as it reduces the price and allows vehicles to be bought "locally".
If, on the other hand, you need to buy your new Cobra etc. directly from Tickford then I can see than not working so well as people who do not live in the capital cities will be far less likely to buy.
This is the core of what screwed FTE back in the AU days as while "many people live in the cities" they also have the options of every single performance vehicle locally which will thin out the herd.
HSV have always known this which is why there are a gazillion HSV dealers and when FPV took over from FTE thse sold more in the fist few months than FTE sold in its entire existence.
