I'm in a zone where I am a little obsessed, I know it but I'm also enjoying it.

It all started a year ago when I was approaching 110 kg and I didn't like it, I couldn't run to save myself and my kids are very on the go, I also done my shoulder by lifting the heavy weights so I decided to give the weights away, I was not enjoying it, it was becoming a chore.

fast forward to now, I weigh 75kg, I run 7k on Mon/Tue/Wed all within or under 42 min's, I sometime's alternate and do a 5k run to see my limit, my PB is 26 min 40 sec, although I did break the 25 min bracket once down on the beach at Apollo Bay but I didn't time it as accurate as I would have liked (thanks to the wife timing me) so I don't count that as my PB.
I then do longer run's on Thur or Fri but just relaxed run's with no time frame or I swim 1 k, which I did after the run yesterday.

I have a work colleague that we both push ourselves, and I'm in the zone right now that I feel good, when you're in that place and you can see results you get better and tend to push yourself further and harder, and I'm enjoying it.

I have to get my bloods done in a few weeks so that will be my telling tale as it's my cholesterol that I want lower and seems to be my nemesis, but I'm stubborn and I won't give up until I get it, no tablets for me and my Dr knows it.
My blood pressure it good, hangs around 116/65 (resting) has been lower at times, it's just this damn cholesterol !!!!!.

Great effort and mind set Gal well done mate.
Good to read on your weight reduction impressive.
Re the blood, mine is keeping cholesterol in check as well, the ol man is a suffer as well and on lipitor tabs that he wouldn't have known back then to try avoiding taking tabs forever, I'm with you avoid them very much.
I just adjust my diet intake and keep having tests and I'm a ok to date, blood pressure is always spot on.
Forgetting the heat I'm jealous I can't do any exercise till this hernia recovers and I'm still working on the acl recovery.
I can only get on the spin bike and clock up some k's, more so for the knee its good repair/strength process.
In my 20's/30's I used to do weights, more so for strength for football and surfing and stopped once family came along.
Planning to do light work outs soon, got myself a bench press/dumb bells just need to get some plates.
Only light stuff/high reps will be my routine in the near future.

For me personally with this heat, the hotter the better, I can handle the 40+ deg days and in actual fact don't mind it, because it's always a dry heat.

It's the humid days that kill me, I can't cope in humidity, if it's a 35 deg day but humid as, I feel it, I sweet like nothing else and I go lethargic.

They also link cholesterol with being hereditary, and some people just live on the high side all their life, It's the bad cholesterol or the LDVL that I'm trying to lower, it's not to far over the mark but still over nonetheless.

My Dr is not to concerned but I have a running bet/competition with him that I can get it in the margin, it shits me to no ends though as I eat religiously healthy and watch everything and my best mate eats anything and drinks anything, all shit and is 10 years older and his cholesterol is perfect every year.... go figure.

Spent Friday in the emergency ward. That was dull.
Had sudden pains in my wound areas, and after a call to the specialist I was told to get into emergency and let them look at it. An X-ray and ct scan later, they decided I have extensive swelling and some 'stranding' around the mesh they stuck in me. On antiinflammatries for a few days but I already feel better.
Back to work tomorrow but I'm seriously considering chucking it in. I think my body has had about enough of forklift driving. Time for a change in job I think. Would love to buy or start up a business and be my own boss, but I like the security of working for wages.

    Your freaking me out D.
Good to hear the drugs are making life better But re the stranding ? does this get better on its own or what ?

I have experienced some pains now and then that gets me thinking, oh o, nothing to point of going to emergency but I think, wtf.

The only certainty you get from being your own boss is knowing that if you fail, or succeed it will be by your own hand. Financial security is a myth and something we like to tell ourselves. We think we have it when working for someone else, but all we have done is delegate that responsibility to another party who we hope will make good if we do our part. Yeah. Naahhh lol
