I agree and don't recall any announcement re the firewall stress's/just forum goss.
The internal closure discussions way before being made public would have killed anything more moving ahead with GTH and in turn all involved would have had to sign stacked decks keeping their lips sealed but rumour here there got out.
Never to be cleared or confirmed I suppose, as mentione dmany Miami's are pulling big numbers let alone the numbers out there.
Have there been any reports of problems ? I haven't seen any.
Interesting Randel quoting his windscreen crack.

A cracked windscreen could be flex. It could also have had a burr in the seat. It doesn’t take much.

I guess the point I make is that known issues or potential issues will be in the aftermarket arena as they push harder.

We all know about diffs and bushes yeah?

Well what else are people finding and documenting.

The internals stuff, I don’t believe anyone will ever confirm or deny. The stories change too much.
History is a statement, the future is a question.

Apart from Diff bushes and noisy diffs the ones i hear a lot of is broken trans input shafts on the ZF and broken half shafts.

    The occasional tailshaft too.

All these items need to be addressed before one plans on putting anymore power through the driveline

The diff bushes we know occur on standard cars. Are those other items on standard cars as well?

The only issues I am aware of with Miami and specific to Miami, are oil consumption and water pumps on early cars.

One of the delays was an exhaust issue as well. Left side.

Diff bushes are an issue on std cars, as is the noisy diff syndrome, of which i'm yet to hear of one totally failing?

Maybe the noise is ensuring attention before catastrophic failure.

The people who share these other types of issues (half shafts, input shafts etc) drag race and or modify their cars.

In terms of frequency of failure i have no idea.

I know there is a billet input shaft for the ZF that has been around for a long time (assuming to address the weakness) and upgraded half shafts for the rear available through the aftermarket.

The issue with strengthening these parts is does it then shift the "weakest link" point somewhere more expensive.....?

Or is there enough redundancy head room built into the rest of the driveline to live happily ever after......

    Something only Ford would know.

So the only issue I think HG needs to address is diff brushes.

We all know they fail on standard cars with no where near Miami power. I will be keen to put this to premcar as the lowering could impact on these.

The cars ive seen dont look lowered at all, they look factory ride height?

Id also be worried about half shafts.
