That was great to watch and explains alot about how they went about achieving the sound ..legally.
With mine, the best it ever sounds is on cold start up. My God, its fantastic but once going and warm even in race track mode it never sounds as hardcore or as loud as a cold start up.
Edit: Just looked it up lol.... "Cold start timing is retarded to bring the cats up to temperature quickly."

I wish it did Norm, but no. It defaults to 'Normal mode' each time. You can either create your own 'MY MODE' setting and toggle to that each time (two flicks of the switch), or you can leave it in Normal mode and navigate your way through the menu to set the exhaust only to a mode of your choosing without changing other settings. I tend to do this in the morning for the City run as the car is easier to drive and shifts smoother. I do believe you can program it to start in Quite mode at a certain time/location but haven't tried it. My neighbor's aren't home much..

Yeah. If I could just set and forget that is what I would do too. That said, as mentioned the ride is compromised in Track mode compared to Normal mode. It's nice to have the option but I just wish you had the ability to override and force the car to operate in MYMode every time.

Track mode changes Steering, Shifts (and engine mapping) and Exhaust. When I referred to ride I mean due to the shift patterns and steering inputs the car's behavior becomes more aggressive and in layman's terms harsh, louder and jerky. To be honest it's not all that appealing when the car is cold but when it's warm its much more fun.
Shift wise, they are firmer and more frequent. It holds the lower gears for longer, and the higher gears for less time, continually shifting down to keep the engine in its optimal zone. Light touches of the throttle will make the engine arch up faster (like a hi-stall). The trans is very busy, but it's fun if you are in the mood. Downshifts are my favorite to a point that I like using the paddles to downshift in the City traffic and hear the engine noise bounce off the surrounding buildings.
Steering- well it just becomes more firm as well as responsive to inputs. Basically making the car feel like a lighter and sharper tool.
Exhaust- This has already been covered best by Ian's thread. It really is the best part and isn't exclusive to Sports or Track modes.
