Owned by bald old men who drink red wine, play golf and have no interest in cars and are in bed by 8PM?

Lexus is the red headed step child of the automotive industry - they have no soul.

Its like a stainless steel fridge instead of a white one, sure it looks cool but it probably wasn't worth the few extra thousand bucks, its got that ice maker thing but you don't drink water.

Now that's an April fools assessment...

They make cars that a lot of people aspire to and I'd consider them a success story.

As for boring, the LFA and new RC range are good looking cars...

    Yeah so two cars.

Coming from the car company responsible for the 1JZ, 2JZ and 1UZFE engines in cars like the Soarer, Crown, Chaser, Aristo, Supra et al.

Toyota isn't a hair of what it was in the 1980s/1990s and early 00s before they became the white goods manufacturer and Lexus the stainless steel variant.

No car enthusiast aspires to own a Lexus, don't see too many Lexus' on 1320 video bud.

At least Nissan still has the GTR.

Is this 'Ford Enthusiasts Network Australia' or Bingo?

Just like what happened with the Falcon Enthusiast... Which has been sent to the retirement home to play bingo. Most young kids don't care for the cars and it's the geriatrics that hold on to a car culture that's changing.

Point is, white goods or silver goods, they make great quality cars that last forever and a day and they make a healthy profit doing so with customers paying 6 figures for many of their cars.

Genesis is the new kid in town and I'd be careful not to dismiss them just yet as over priced. The V8 version that wasn't sold in Australia wasn't too bad a drive. Big RWD V8 is a nice platform to start from.
