Despite my profile pic, I think that this is a great idea. Like it or not EV's are coming, and all the disruption that comes with it. As the maker of the USA's and the worlds best selling car The F150, Ford have a lot to lose if they got it wrong.
Ford either had to develop them or buy in. They have chosen to buy in. If the EV thing falls over, they loss $500m Ev if the EV booms and they are not involved they go the way of Nokia & Kodak.

It's fractional compared to the distribution of fuel. But no one goes to a telstra shop to charge a phone. You do it at home overnight.

16 Min You-tube Video of the Rivian SUV & Pick-up. The level of detail is impressive. Take the time to watch it all the way through.

The pick up is about as long as a Ranger and a bit wider. Seriously, this ticks every box.

But it's such a mindshift need to buy an SRT use all the fossil fuels while I can

This is very smart and looks OK. Now if you take some Ford design architecture you might have a winner.

Fuck its ugly though isn't it - the vertical lights and no grill are ridiculous.
