Got to tip my hat to Toyota. Ranger remaining strong. I wonder how many of those are the bi- turbo

Obviously not buying their cars.

I’d have one in the absence of a better option after driving a few. I thought they went pretty well actually but its still undercooked for a model like the Raptor. Id like to see a turbo petrol or even better an Hybrid or EV. I am under the impression the bi-turbo sells pretty well but it would be good to know. From the people I know that have purchased a Ranger update they have all stayed with the 3.2.
Small to medium cars are going mostly to the Japanese and Korean brands, apart from prestige.

The bi-turbo is a nice every day motor, however I liked the extra grunt lower from the 3.2 especially for some of the heavy load I tow every now and again. The 2021 model will hopefully be my next purchase, depending on the motor and the interior set up.

Interesting. Would it need a 10 speed? Because the torque is pretty good low you don't need to keep it in the upper range to make the best use of the motor. Having said that the bi-turbo 10 speed is a very nice package and I would be happy if my next Ranger was a A to B ute. But unfortunately I will be doing some towing and I like the way the 3.2 does the work.

I'm so glad we set fire to our car industry because Aussies want small hi tech fuel efficient cars and with the dollar at parity with the USD they can't compete.
