Considering the tougher climate at present give it to these companies bucking the trend :
The only Top 10 brands to buck the trend were Mazda (up 15.5 per cent), Mitsubishi (up 18 per cent) and Kia (up 2.5 per cent).

Mazda/Kia incl Hyundai, smart operators and good range for the market.
As for Mitsu, omg those deparados buy that butt fugly Triton predator front look due to price compared to Ranger Hilux.
    Friggin ugly as.

OK so imagine that’s the base engine in Ranger in just under two years time...
They go ok but even before RR’s release Ford was already balls deep in NG T6 and what people really want, all of that set back in 2016, roughly two years before 2.0 diesel RR. I know that you’ll love the engines coming, Toyota doesn’t know yet and won’t until it’s too late

Given Volkswagen are selling every V6 Amarok they can get their hands on, you would expect the next T6 (T7?) will be engineered for a V6 engine to be fitted, both for Volkswagen and also the Yanks.

There is an interesting tidbit floating around stating that the Dagenham plant in the UK has a heap more capacity for manufacturing Ford's V6 Diesel too - as recently fitted to the F150 Stateside.

Ford flat out refused to let VW have access to T6 Ranger in North America.
The V6 powerstroke is now made in the USA Andrew, I’d be interested to know the difference in weight between it and the Nano V6s as both are similar capacity and have CGI blocks.
Maybe that sameness is no coincidence.......
