Dealer asked me to think about it over the weekend. Its not enough car for $95k! In Ford's defence, the price is fair when you calculate USD price to AUD price ($52k USD is around $73k AUD, add GST, LCT, and shipping, $84k seems fair). But our stamp duty and the rest add to make it $95k with the appearance pack. I can't justify that. I'd have paid $100k for a handling pack version though.

I wouldn't buy a base GT cause I got sick of the car overheating either. And the additional coolers are eye watering when you look to buy them locally ($5k for the diff cooler alone!). Let see if the next gen Mustang has a GT350 option for us in Australia.
Fair enough. Looks like the HO is a deal breaker. Dont blame you.

All very valid points although I never really experienced heating issues with my two FN's.
The only weird thing I noticed was that the 10-speed would drop into lower gears when it should have been in higher ones when it got warm. I just assumed this was its way of cooling itself.

Yes, $95k on road is getting up there. I found at $60 to $70k I always felt you got a lot of bang for the buck for the Mustang GT plus there wasn't much to compare it to.

At $95k its edges closer into the bottom end of premium car categories. It's still ok but not as much as a no-brainer for some.

The only one that appeals to me there is the AMG, but tastes aside you have to consider you're still paying a lot of coin for a car with potentially no warranty (2017). These performance cars aren't cheap to maintain and there is value in having a warranty for at least a few years. With the Mach 1 or GT variant, Ford gives you 5-years

Yeah it's a bit hard comparing 3-4 year old cars outside of warranty to brand new unless its just a garage queen/Weekender and real low K's.

Yes. In my case, I would use it every day so the warranty is relevant. I guess if you were buying a Mach 1 to collect it, occasional use only or store it may be different. Personally, if that was the case I would buy a 69 Mach 1 390 S-code or 428 Cobra Jet if collecting was the purpose.

I hear you re ages, point is the price point period anyway.
You will find Euros with WTY 1-2yrs old and extended WTY's already incl.
You all know you can pay for more WTY - done it with the Bimmer.
Even as a daily I'm not fussed, in the game it makes sense for me for its not as expensive to run/repair compared to those who have to pay full price re euros.
The Mach1 WTY period offered is no big deal in the big picture for being last gen all bugs have been recitified you'd think and its a known product, could get a bad luck lemon.
Its not like they are suffering FG/X diff issues for eg.
Yes these are not collectables as the early ones Colville, they are just retro product now.
