Its still not that easy. People bitch and moan about their smart phone not connecting to a point it gets a 20 page thread on it. Think if something like Sync was rushed not properly tested and had major issues. There is a process that needs to be changed, stuff coordinated. Then there is obsolescence for suppliers and this costs big money as some parts need to be stocked due to long lead times.

It's always been my thought that we'll see the 2014 Falcon towards the end of 2013, in the same way that you could purchase a 2013 model car towards the end of 2012. We just have to wait and see I guess.

Besides what gets sold to dedicated Falcon/Territory buyers, I don't see many Falcons and Territory's moving now. The 2014 Falcon was most likely needed in 2012.

Your post has much merit Colville.
Dealing in distribution myself for xyz products/brands the thought of having to annouce the cease or faze out of x model but yet introduce the last face lift would have me shuddering what kind of sales am I to expect.
Look it could be a sales highlight for all we know but joe public would have in his head what for ? back up warranty ? etcetc the usual train of thought.

It seems most people who work for Ford have now seen the new/refresh.

While no one would say much yesterday about actual appearance the comment that was made most was its a shame the car couldn't make it to market before this announcement had to be made.

Not met anyone who doesn't have a bad word to say about the new one.

That everyone said how good they looked, the fine tuning and updates should have been done sooner rather than later not at the end of the line.

Ah ok. I predict the last Falcon will be a ute fest. Its clear a car type Ute wont be part of our future post 2017 so for those that are not happy with the ranger type of product, last call. Stock up
