Whilst the realist in me would agree. I also know that the salesman/manager in me would be saying "with such an iconic brand why not send it out in style? Why not give the public what they want? We produce a XR6 and GS so the tooling is there for a XR8. Get it done. For the HO option why not go with some small run suspension tweaks, badges, interior etc." Ford know how to make a Falcon handle if they want to. For the last 250 vehicles why wouldn't you do it especially when you could charge a premium and they will sell. It's a great form of marketing and also ensures that at the end of 2016 there would be no GT's sitting unsold or, heaven forbid, they would be all sold out before time. Would send a nice parting message to Dearborn that Aussies will buy a performance V8 if you give us what WE want, not a watered down version of what you think we need.

Lots of support for Xr6T GGETs and Xr8s in peoples wants bucket.

For me its an XR8 Ute now next year
XR6 T, yep G6E T, yep one fire breathing tyre destroying ute, yep. Last & most certainly not least, one barnstorming Falcon GT,track specific handling & performance.
If there was 300 odd, built in the glory days, I want the equivalent of that to suit our population & incomes.
No I don't want the HO moniker attached to the car, those cars are special & should remain so!!!

    Put me down for one.
Depends on funds, I'm aiming for an F6. Worst case senario will be an XR6T with luxury pack.
I want to get something thats unique to oz. Inline 6 for me.

I'll wait until we get closer to the FU's launch, to see what it has to offer. I'll decide then, wether to get an FG or FU.

Hi joeygt, belated welcome to the forum, I dunno if the F6 is viable, apparently the XR6T outsells it, still I would rather an F6 in my garage.

Thank you for the friendly welcome.

You might be right. I just hope the F6 lasted until then.

That's still 1 more than any XR8's that are currently being built

The very low numbers of F6's now being built means there even more worthy of buying than a run of the mill XR6T and as I've said before, the Turbo 4L 6 cylinder will go down in history as one of the best engines ever built in this country.

New model F6 will sell, especially now. The question is have they the money to engineer a power increase. Holden didnt touch their vf engines did they?

I am hoping F6 makes it to 2014 model.
History is a statement, the future is a question.

Turn the boost up a couple of PSI and add F6 330 badges and jobs done (hell probably doesn't even need a power increase, as they already drive away from the naturally aspirated 6.2L GM product)

yeah its just in Fords world it just aint that simple. The F6 has been run into the ground, not giving current owners a reason to upgrade.

Not convinced there was a plan for continuing f6 or not and if not can that change now
History is a statement, the future is a question.
