Was a BA factory manual GT for sale on AFF for a while and I seriously looked into it while I was still employed, I think he wanted $17,500 for it with a roady, one owner car always garaged and serviced too.

These will rapidly find their way into the hands of hoon snapperheads that will destroy them, as if there arent enough of them being ruined today. The numbers of Tickford Falcons and 1990's HSV cars ending up at wreckers and salvage auctions is becoming concerning, ask yourself, when is the last time you saw an EL XR8? Or a VS HSV? They are disappearing right before our eyes.

A BA makes a great shopping trolley or highway cruiser, but I'd steer clear of the performance models. BF was heaps better.

Sell your Fairmont and get a Sprint

Tempting, but no more cars until i've finished study and got myself a full time job again, then its back to having 50 cars

Fairmont needs a new bottom end, low comp across all 6, tempted to build her for boost though and keep that as my play toy, Focus as a daily still.

I really don't want to fit a 9" Detroit Locker to my car.
    Or do I ?
The diff thats in it will be fine, my heaps still running factory gears/axles only difference is the Kazz LSD, remember Jeffs turbo ute was doing 10's for ages before his stock diff let go

Took the car to a GT Club meeting this month, I finally got the "thumbs up" from the steel bumper boys.
One comment was "I always liked the look of the EL GT, but they sounded too soft, & didn't really fit the image of a GT, then you came along with your car & I thought, why didn't Tickford build them like that in the first place"?
Answer is simple, MONEY, & ADR!!!

If you can get a copy of "Forged" Car Magazine, there is a story of another "non standard" EL GT.
Dales "TRUBLU 8" 895 RWHP @ 23 psi boost. Car also has roll cage, & an FG bonnet bulge grafted into the EL GT bonnet.
The car looks pretty good & goes very well indeed. Another Perth based car!!!
