    The squeak!!

My ZF has recently developed the squeak. Early Ford owners will know what I'm talking about.

The front end/suspension squeaks when I hit a bump. Which is near enough to constantly as drive down the road. I've had several (6) old Fords and they all did it at one time.

So the real question. How do I fix it once and for all ??

    Louder stereo ? Smaller mufflers?!?

They all do it, it's the rubber in the bushes drying out and going hard.

Done the mufflers and the stereo. I can still hear it. Which bushes?

Front ? Spring saddles for starters, how long ago since bushes were replaced ? If so so long process of elimination, upper lower control arm bushes ? Castor rods ?

Most common is the spring saddle bushing - replace with nolathane - problem gone forever. This is what I've done with the P6, the ZL, and the XE ute. It can also be the upper control arm inner bush - nolathane is available for these as well.

Sorry guys but you are all wrong , it's the metal on metal with the inner top arm pivot bushes .
The correct fix was always to fit grease nipples in the ends of the " nuts" at each end , if you put 90 degree nipples you can grease from the side , ford dealers used to put two holes in the shock towers and out straight nipples .
If you've got a few miles on it , just replace the inner trunnions with the later XF , as they had rubber type bushing because after newly twenty years mr ford figured out it was not a good selling point any more to have squeaky suspension after a bout 30-40mils of ownership !!
