I'm hearing through the dealership network here in SA the Everest is selling well. As in, they sell as soon as they arrive as stock or as demos. I don't think the pricing point will be of great concern. They are well equiped to justify the price and their association with the extremely popular Ranger helps support this argument.

    Fantastic!

But how does a car virtually nobody can own yet win COTY?

Should it have been a Mustang? Least you can walk into a dealer and look at/buy an Everest.

I would have thought being on sale for the entire year first would be the qualification i.e Everest will be in contention for 2016 COTY.

    None the less great result.

The challenge now (and always has been) is how do Ford convert outstanding products into outstanding sales?

Put a Toyota badge on it....the product doesn't even need to be outstanding.

You don't have to own a car to win an award. It just needs to be on sale and in a press fleet somewhere for people to review it.

Its not a contest where owners get to vote for their car otherwise clearly it would have no chance.
History is a statement, the future is a question.
