Territory had diff bush problems. Sz was a better material and seems to last longer then SX/Sy.

Like I said if it was a job you could do at home (say like an oil change) or $150 change by a local mechanic this would be a non issue. Just an annoyance.

Some mob did come up with changing the position of the bushes but it does involve welding a new frame on.

Anyway it is what it is of the past, another thread would be better to go over the many subjects similar re premature failures etc - i'd be more interested to learn Premcar having done all this testing with HG do they do anything regards the diff bushs ?
How have the held up during their road/track testing ?
What bushing are they using for these new revised arms ?

For me, if I am going to spend big dollars, the kit will have to be a complete package including driveline components like Diff bushes etc. Not just more Power.

Making power is the easy bit, making everything handle the extra power is the key.

Futura, the diff bushes will 'handle' the new power just as well as they handle it now. Either way, the rubber bushes will shit themselves at some point in the not too distant future. Its a $500-600 fix. Premcar will not fit a polyurethane based bush as it will compromise OEM standards that buyers of these cars expect. If that is the only thing that would prevent you for upgrading that doesnt make any sense to me. If however you have other concerns or just dont see the value then that's a different matter.

Diff bushes was one example, half shafts and tailshafts will be my concern especially with sticky Michelin cup tyres. When these tyres grip, all driveline components will be put to the test.

Sure, I understand. I have all these part replaced and upgraded on mine and it’s like being in a race car from a drivability perspective. That said, I'm sure the issues could be overcome with more development, but selling only a 100 kits would not see a return on investment I imagine. What you do need to keep in mind is all the OEM transmission and engine mapping driveline protection is maintained with the Premcar kit, unlike what you would see in alternatives. That will go a long way to preserving your drivetrain components based on 'normal use'. And there, lies the disciplinary challenge for owners.

    Thumbs up

    Ahhh very good point grasshopper...

Much wiseness i sense in you

But if you do choose to turn off the appropriate torque truncations (with a custom tune) and just fucking send it, in an N/A 6 you will go from a mid 15 @ 96mph to an unreal flat 14 @ 100mph !

This is a proven fact and the flow on affect of breakages has been well documented...

The front bar suggested intercooler but they denied it. In fact they said they were brake cooling ducts.
The rims were black, still 19s but wider.
The exhaust was loud, might have been 3 inch but I might be wrong.

The car was lowered and the suspension was said to be adjustable.

You had to fill in forms to tell ford to build it.

I am serious. This is where politics comes in.
It definitely was an intercooler and not brake ducting. That bar is on my car and still had the radiator pipe running from each duct when I got a hold of it. The back of the vents even has mounting holes moulded into it. In fact, there are now coolers mounted on mine in that very position.
