Best factory rim choices imo are the Rebels/TS50 5spokes/5th anni/FGXR8....Cobra rims gain a mention.

Having used aftermarket rims since the days of Aunger kidney holes and kept progressing to 20's way before it became vogue I find 19's a great balance for city driving, now don't get me wrong Sydney roads are not great infact woeful as well but the diff between 18's to 19's isn't that harsh. Yep 20's with licorish certainly makes the ride pretty bad won't deny that.
Interestingly having done many years of rep work long ago (drives to Melb/Adelaide/Bris/Cairns/NSW country) and used my cars with 19's I never suffered a blow out or needed to change a rim due to buckling (touch wood) to date.

I keep my originals always - but I'm afraid if you want a tuff stance nothing like a staggered set up with 275 285 tyres - Ford forever and a day and to date "under tyre" our cars ! You said it Ian, I believe HSV listens to their customer at times but Ford imo come on ?!
